Colegio Americano is located in the heart of Miramar, an upscale district in the City of Guaymas by the beautiful Sea of Cortez.  Nine buildings, ranging in age from 9 years old to brand new, are situated across more than 6 acres of property.  Our school’s halls and classrooms are bright, open and exciting places for students. 

We are committed to providing students with the best environment possible so that they can explore frontiers and satisfy their curiosity about the world.  Academic facilities, including a library, a computer lab and a science lab, a 7,500 square-foot, multi-purpose air-conditioned gymnasium, a semi-Olympic sized swimming pool, a tennis court, 1 indoor and 2 outdoor basketball courts, a farm, playgrounds and playing fields support a broad academic and athletic program.  With the opening of AGORA in March 2007, we also have superb art, dance, and music facilities.

From Pre-school to Grade 12, through a series of ongoing projects large and small, our students’ educational experience is maximized by the environmental restoration and renovation of our property.  Colegio Americano makes continual capital investments in our facilities to enhance our campus and to ensure that our students benefit from every amenity required for an outstanding school experience. As an example, we have recently built new Pre-school and Kindergarten classrooms. In 2011, we have begun work to create an Art Room. Also, we are setting up a Beauty Salon on campus for our students and to accommodate students from an affiliated university who are training to be hair stylists and beauticians.

But a description of the school’s numerous excellent physical attributes does not capture fully the true environment - the spirit - of Colegio Americano.  The environment is one in which happy, engaged, confident students are challenged to test the boundaries of knowledge by faculty who are committed to the total development of each and every student.
