In 2007, Colegio Americano de San Carlos has created an elite athletes program with the goal of providing student athletes the training facilities and specialized coaches to make them world-class performers in their respective sports.  The goal of this program is to provide the support, training and encouragement necessary to allow gifted athletes to become Olympic athletes.

Colegio Americano may award admission scholarships to students who have demonstrated exceptional athletic ability in the following team and individual sports:

• basketball
• tennis
• soccer
• swimming
• gymnastics
• karate
• wrestling

To this end, Colegio Americano continues to make large investments in its sports facilities, including the building of a semi-Olympic sized swimming pool and covering the school’s soccer field with top-quality artificial turf.
