OVERVIEW
At Colegio Americano, we celebrate academic excellence while recognizing that the formation of well-rounded and content students goes beyond the classroom and includes co-curricular activities and service to others.
Students may choose to explore their artistic abilities, increase their athletic skills through various sports, or pursue personal interests by joining clubs. Through these activities, students increase their self-confidence and are encouraged to reach their full individual potentials.
Clubs: Colegio Americano offers various clubs year-round, including knitting and cooking clubs. On occasion, many one-time events are offered to students, such as Christmas cookie baking and Easter-egg decorating. Through our affiliation with the Universidad Interamericana de Guaymas, a variety of Certificate programs are also offered to our students, including Fashion Design, Beautician and Auto Shop workshops. Students and parents are welcomed and encouraged to suggest and assist in the formation of new clubs.
Arts: Many Colegio Americano students also devote themselves to visual and performing arts. Our students have the opportunity to pursue their artistic passions from cartooning to theatrical performances to musical reviews. Colegio Americano’s fine arts department is extensive and always looking to grow with the interests of the students.
Community: The school encourages students to engage in various community services, in order to teach compassion and instill a desire to initiate positive change, one mind at a time. Through involvement in the community, Colegio Americano students are prepared to make a difference for good in the world.
Intellectual, spiritual, and creative activity all work together in the achievement of one's best potential. Colegio Americano students find the support, encouragement and opportunities to pursue their individual interests and to develop into tomorrow's leaders.
