CLUBS
Students are encouraged to get involved in the following clubs and activities at Colegio Americano:
The Cooking Club encourages students and teachers to become passionate about culinary arts as they expand their knowledge of recipes, techniques, and diverse cultural cuisines while also taking nutrition into consideration.
The Knitting Club offers students a place to come together to learn how to knit, cross-stitch, and crochet. Its goal is to provide students with a friendly environment to have weekly meetings where they can learn about new techniques and work on their projects under the supervision of an experienced knitting teacher.
Through the school’s affiliation with the Universidad Interamericana de Guaymas, a number of Certificate programs are also offered, including Fashion Design, Beautician and Auto Shop courses. Students will receive official recognition from the SEP (Ministry of Education) upon successful completion of the course.
