Colegio Americano strives to ensure that the school maintains its standing as one of the preeminent schools in Mexico by asking parents and the community for financial support.  The school prepares its students to make a difference by developing their intellectual, creative, physical and spiritual potential. Tuition fees alone do not cover the cost of this experience.

At Colegio Americano, tuition fees cover the in-classroom costs of the school experience, along with our day-to-day operational costs. Capital improvements and upgrades, new buildings and additions, enhanced co-curricular programs and our financial aid program, are all made possible through the generosity, leadership and vision of our donors. Ongoing enhancements to curriculum and facilities are essential in order to ensure that we are able to provide outstanding educational opportunities for our students and to provide an environment in which our students can truly realize their full potential. Contributions from parents and the community to Fundación Colegio Americano de San Carlos A.C. can help the school meet these needs and all support is greatly appreciated.

Financial Aid Program
The school relies on the generosity of its community to provide for the education of these students.

Many Mexican children do not have the opportunity to attend a bilingual school where they can learn English and improve the prospects for their future. Numerous studies support the fact that children exposed to multiple languages have improved analytical, social and literacy skills. This translates into increased self-esteem, future job opportunities, and the ability to travel, study and work abroad. A well-rounded education is the best chance a child has for a better life. You can help bring hope and make a difference by sponsoring a child’s education. For as little as $7.50 US dollars ($87 pesos) per day, you can help change a child’s life. 100% of your contribution will be used for the education of your sponsored child, and you will receive an official receipt for income tax purposes. If you are interested in sponsoring a student for a school year, please contact the General Director. 

Gifts In Kind
A donor may make a gift-in-kind of non-monetary items of tangible personal property to Colegio Americano de San Carlos. Typical gifts-in-kind include books, sports equipment, furnishings, or works of art. Please pre-arrange these gifts with the school’s General Director.

Support for existing programs includes the following:

1. Sports: Any kind of equipment. In particular, soccer balls, tennis balls and racquets, baseballs, uniforms, coaches’ whistles, study guides.
 
2. Kindergarten Craft supplies: such as: crayons, scissors, paints, glue sticks, glitter.

3. Library: All kinds of books and reference materials.

4. Science Lab equipment: Microscopes, cylinders, beakers, chemistry kits, models, charts and laminated posters, etc.

5. Computers: Educational software, printers, scanners, cameras, media (CD-R, CD-RW), video projection system.

6. Office Equipment: Photocopy machine, fax, ink cartridges, paper, labels, tape, staplers, etc.
